A Rainy Yet Charitable Round of Golf for MoCo’s Founding Farmers
In the drizzling rain this past Monday, a foursome representing MoCo’s Founding Farmers joined other local businesses as sponsors in a round of golf to raise money for multiple charities in the DC-metro area.
Known as the “Kitchen to the Pin” Golf Classic and run by the Black’s Family Foundation, this tournament will be dividing proceeds into gifts in excess of $10K each among charitable groups working with kids, addressing hunger, supporting farming and healthy eating, and bettering our world throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
In spite of the weather, our Founding Farmers team – Nathan Fegely, Vice President of Finance; Robin Doser, finance specialist; and Managing Partner Fran Lake – enjoyed their day at the Hampshire Greens Golf course. The annual tournament, which draws individuals and businesses from across the region, included a series of golf contests including closest to pin and longest drive, cocktails on the greens, and lots of delicious food.
Founding Farmers is a farmer-owned restaurant primarily serving food and drink from scratch using ingredients from American family farms, and with a particular interest in operating sustainably. Our MoCo location in Potomac, MD serves lunch and dinner everyday, breakfast weekdays, and a weekend brunch. Join us here or at any of our other locations. If possible, we recommend making a reservation.
