Founding Farmers is Landing at DCA

Farmers Restaurant Group announces plans to open a full-service and grab & go Founding Farmers at the new concourse coming to Reagan National Airport (DCA) in the final months of 2021.

Founding Farmers DCA will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday starting at 5am for the convenience of all airport travelers. Menus will focus on our scratch-made guest favorites, including our award-winning bar program featuring our Founding Spirits. Travelers can be seated to enjoy a full-service meal or grab their food and drink to go.

“Our restaurants are known for serving scratch-made food grown, raised, and harvested on American family farms… to guests from around the world,” says Co-Owner, Dan Simons. “We are excited to open a location at Reagan National so we can continue our mission and educate DCA travelers on the importance of family farmers.”

In addition to Founding Farmers, the new concourse will include an inaugural group of food and beverage concessions with a focus on locally based businesses, including: Elevation Burger, Timber Pizza Company, P.F. Chang’s, Mezeh Mediterranean Grill, and Peet’s Coffee.

Construction for Reagan National Airport’s new concourse is already underway as part of DCA’s “Project Journey,” which includes 14 new gates and plans to improve security checkpoints. Originally designed to serve 15 million travelers per year, Reagan National now serves more than 23 million passengers annually. DCA launched Project Journey to accommodate all travelers and to “transform the traveler experience inside terminals, at the gates, and along the roads. The end result will provide passengers with greater connectivity, more shopping and dining choices, and a more pleasant post-security environment.”
